The Province of Milan rewards, with a ceremony that has now become traditional, the Milanese hunting veterans.
November 28, 2011 - Organized by the Department of Hunting and Fishing of the Province of Milan, in collaboration with the ATC (Territorial Hunting Areas) of the Milan area, the traditional "Festa del Vecchio Cacciatore" was held, reserved for the "over 75".
The event, held in Pasturago di Vernate (MI), in the presence of the Provincial Councilor Luca Agnelli, the staff of the wildlife sector of the Province and the presidents of all the Milanese ATCs, Gian Raffaele Congiunti (ATC1), Graziano Barbaglia (ATC2), Pierluigi Borella (ATC3), culminated in the delivery of plaques and certificates of merit to the elderly for the many decades dedicated to the passion for the art of hunting and land management.
Among the numerous winners, Mr. Francesco Rimoldi (from Vimodrone), born in 1921; Mr. Piero Bianchi (from Rescaldina), born in 1920; Mr. Agostino Malaspina (from Cernusco sul Naviglio), born in 1919, dean of the Milanese side-by-side the Councilor wanted to be rewarded by the youngest hunter, only 19 years old, to mean the handing down of hunting values and traditions from one generation to the next.
Councilor Luca Agnelli declared: "For a day, the hunt forgets the controversy surrounding it, mostly spurious, to celebrate those who have cultivated this passion for more than half a century. It is exciting to see lifelong friends celebrating each other.
This is the beauty of hunting: still knowing how to appreciate the value of company and true friendship. Our commitment is for the next generations of hunters, so that they recover the best aspects of hunting and know how to carry on the tradition ”.
