Il Regional Fauna Committee of Sardinia met yesterday afternoon, Thursday 20 July 2017, in Cagliari, more precisely at the headquarters of the Environmental Defense Department. The commissioner was also present Donatella Spano and was officially approved on 2017-2018 hunting calendar of the island. This is the text that was proposed at the last meeting in these same offices, taking into account the opinion expressed by ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research).
What are the main details of this document? The 2016-2017 season has been picked up quite faithfully, as the pre-opening for turtledove and hooded crow hunting will take place on 3 and 7 September next. For the other species, the start of hunting has been set for 24 September and 1 October. Furthermore, starting from 5 October, the hunting days of the week will be Thursdays, Sundays and midweek holidays.

One of the novelties that is worth remembering is that of the thrush collection, possible until January 28th, which means that the expansion of hunting for these birds has been approved.
