In the course of yesterday, Friday May 10 2019, it started the new edition of the Caccia Village, the trade fair that takes place at Umbriafiere a Bastia Umbra (province of Perugia). Among the participants there is once again the Club del Colombaccio, specifically the section of Amelia (Terni). The latter will be captained until the end of the event (Sunday 12 May to be precise) by its president Amedeo Castellani who will set up for all three days a stand with materials and publications linked to traditional wood pigeon hunting.
It can be said that it has now become a real ritual the tasting of the pigeon in the dripping pan, a 100% Amerine specialty: the tasting was designed for the organizers and members of the Club itself today, Saturday 11 May, around 12:30 and at the Umbria Region space.
On Sunday, however, a meeting with the heads of the hunting associations will be held in the hall of the congress building to talk about the named research project "Hobson", a research that explores in detail the origins of this species through the study of radioactive isotopes, a project promoted by the Club.
