There was an important increase in attendance on Friday e only on Saturday we registered an increase of 30%, with visitors coming not only from Central and Southern Italy, but also from the North. This is new to us and is a source of great satisfaction ». Also on the third and last date of the Fair, which saw not only fans of the sector but also touring the pavilions many families with children, numerous activities followed one another: conferences, thematic meetings, veterinary first aid, the hound's party and the shows at the shooting ranges with the performances of Raniero Head (world champion and record holder of acrobatic shooting, testimonial Winchester) e David DeCarolis (Benelli testimonial).
Among the most anticipated and significant moments of the day, the signing of the Memorandum on the environment by the leaders of the Italian hunting associations - Gianluca Dall'Olio (Italian Federation of Hunting), Paolo Sparvoli (National Association of Free Hunting), Lamberto Cardia (Enalcaccia), Piergiorgio Fassini (Arcicaccia), Gianni Corsetti (Italcaccia), Marco Castellani (Association of Italian Migrationists), Maria Cristina Caretta (Confederation of hunting associations Italians), Ezio Conti (Regional Union of Apennine Hunters) -, the president of Wilderness Italy, Franco Zunino, and the organizer of Caccia Village, Andrea Castellani. The pact commits the parties to implement initiatives to protect the environment and the territory, with hunters (already organized in teams or groups) who will be able to offer valid help in the discovery and reporting of environmental degradation situations and in the removal of waste, in synergy with the competent authorities.
Caccia Village, for its part, will reward hunters who have particularly distinguished themselves in safeguarding the environment. Frank Zunino, president of Wilderness, adhered to the protocol with conviction: «This union of the hunting world affects us positively; hunters can be very useful in safeguarding the territory. Wilderness made in Italy 72 protected areas, protected from the point of view of the environment but at the same time open to hunting ». The 2019 edition of Caccia Village will also be remembered for the attention paid to safety and training. For this reason, the innovative course on safety in hunting wild boar in pursuit has been included in the program, to which an average of 130 people participated per day. «For this ninth edition - concludes Andrea Castellani - we had set ourselves two objectives: to talk about safety and the environment. In the first case we did it with the course on safety in hunted wild boar hunting, which in three days collected almost 400 members. As for the environment, we have signed a memorandum with the leaders of the Italian hunting associations, committing ourselves to reward, as early as the next edition, at least three groups of hunters who have distinguished themselves in defense of the environment ».
