An episode of unprecedented and gratuitous violence. TO San Michele Salentino (province of Brindisi), a 83enne was brutally assaulted since neighbour and with a reason that makes this story even sadder: the man would have been annoyed by the noise of shots from the rifle of the elderly.
The latter was practicing hunting on a farm owned by him. According to what was reconstructed by the police, the attacker would have removed the weapon from the hunter's hands and then beat him. The victim's condition is serious, as it is easy to imagine. A 53-year-old Belgian national is accused of being accused of attempted murder.
THENational Free Hunting Association commented on the story: "It thundered so much that it rained. By dint of fueling intolerance and hostility towards hunting and hunters, tolerating and leaving unpunished repeated physical violence and vandalism against property (vehicles, regular huts and hunting houses) we inevitably arrive at episodes so barbaric as to be incredible. Now all that remains is to expect the smug and ironic comments of those same squalid characters who do not hesitate to rejoice when some hunter falls victim to an unfortunate misfortune, be it a heart attack, a trivial fall or a drowning in an attempt to save their dog. If this is the civilization of the animal rights activists, we are more and more proud to be hunters".
