During the day yesterday, Thursday 24 November 2016, three decisions were made by the Cabinet in the matter of hunting as regards the Trentino Alto Adige. The government has said yes to the integration of the rule of implementation of the state of autonomy in hunting, confirming the special powers of the region as regards the reserve regime. The governor of Trentino, Ugo Rossi, welcomed the approval, underlining what it was like averted the risk of compromising the hunting activity after the modification of Title V of the Constitution.
In practice, the autonomous provinces are once again in possession of the prerogatives in the field of hunting, even in the context of provincial parks. Among other things, the provinces of Trentino have the possibility of temporarily change the list of huntable species provided for by state law. In addition, the CdM approved two implementing rules in the presence of Arni Kompatscher, president of the Province of Bolzano.
The management of the hunt will be even more autonomous: the first rule refers to the planning, regulation and control by the Province on the forms of hunting to be exercised in Alto Adige, with the provincial law that will establish methods and procedures. The second norm, on the other hand, has to do with huntable species and provincial powers, recently challenged by some sentences: the President of the Province can also modify the list as seen above.
