In the afternoon of Thursday 19 December, an interesting initiative was held in Florence organized by theATC Florence 5 on small game and the management of public institutions. In the splendid setting of Villa Poggi, home of the Regional Hunting Offices of Florence, the Commissioner of ATC Firenze Sud Piero Certosi, illustrated the policies and paths that have produced excellent results in recent years. Guests of the evening the Wildlife Technician Roberto Mazzoni Della Stella, a great expert on small game, the Regional Officer Federico Merli and the Director of the Regional Hunting Office Paolo Banti who commented on the data, bringing important technical contributions to the discussion.
In the course of the debate he saw the intervention of numerous hunters and also of two representatives of the ATC 4 Management Committee, the Regional President of Arci Caccia Sirio Bussolotti also spoke, congratulating the ATC for the results achieved, hoping for the expansion of similar initiatives to disseminate the paths taken by the areas to the hunters also to the neighboring territories.
Bussolotti also stressed the position of the Association which, calling for the return of a true policy on sedentary game calls for interventions that lead to the rebirth of hares and pheasants in the area and a gradual cessation of ready hunting launches, in order to restore dignity and future prospects to the hunting activity.
