An unexpected (and appreciated) gesture of environmental awareness and respect for the ecosystem is making the high talk Camonica Valley: the district C1 has decided to suspend deer hunting activities in advance (specifically, they are the youngest female deer). The president Stefano Tomasi has proposed to interrupt the hunting activity for overtime weather conditions due to the abundant snowfalls of the last few days.
As has always been the case, the natural selection of animals this winter will be very hard, due to the scarcity of food following the presence of snow. Two years ago already, when the white blanket had covered the territory of the upper valley for a prolonged period, they were dead over 120 deer during the winter and the fear is that this year too the phenomenon could repeat itself.
For this reason the C1 hunters have decided not to collect the twenty deer, already foreseen in the targeted abatement plan, and to safeguard them. The animals, in this period, have lowered in altitude, where it has not yet snowed, and are stationed in complete tranquility just above the villages of Vione and Temù (Giornale di Brescia).
hunters don't need environmentalists' explanations, because they know nature better than environmentalists.
