As reported byArch Hunting provincial of Grosseto, 2019-2020 season, thanks to a crazy climate which, after a very hot October was followed by an incredibly rainy November, did not favor the migration and then the stop of the birds in the Tuscan province. For this reason, the hunters, who were waiting for the thrushes to make up for the scarce settlement bags of the first days, were disappointed. In this climate of general discouragement, only hunted wild boar hunts, the most traditional hunting activity for what concerns the Maremma.
Now, however, a new threat is on the horizon, the prospect of seeing new Wildlife Hunting Companies and Hunting Tourist Companies authorized "by decree" they would take hundreds of hectares away from public hunting. This is due to a coup of some Regional Councilors, who have ordered this provision in defiance of any technical-scientific consideration and without waiting for the approval of a wildlife plan that is now taking shape, risking to produce imbalances and serious damage to the territory in question.
For this reason, Arci Caccia Grosseto asks that the provision be corrected immediately and that the requests for new private institutes be examined in the approval of the Wildlife Plan, without shortcuts, as required by law and common sense.
