Like every week, the association ANUUMigrators has updated his notes on the migration step. The forecasts have been respected, in particular as regards the persistent rain on most of Italy e the presence of rock thrushes and cesene. The Ornithological Observatory of Arosio (province of Como) recorded an excellent presence of flounder and the small louis: regarding the latter, one was captured during the day of 26 November, characterized by rather mild temperatures.
They are still absent, on the contrary, brambles, frosoni, finches and siskins. However, the recapture of a siskin ringed in Prague should be underlined: this is the second capture of this finch, confirming certainly not a positive year. The few catches were also found in other ornithological stations in Northern Italy where ringing is carried out for scientific purposes.
There has been no major news for woodcock and snipe in the past week, while the presence of teals and mallards was excellent and constant. In the coming weeks, temperatures will drop further, so much so as to herald a harsh winter with abundant snowfall, conditions that should especially stimulate the "Migratory of the cold".
