The Ciaccio Palaganese Festival returns for the 15th edition, in Palagano (MO) on 27 and 28 June 2015 through the streets and squares of the town.
Il Ciaccio is a dense mixture of flour, water and salt called "the glue", cooked on iron plates, called "cottole" and seasoned with a mixture of lard, rosemary, garlic and Parmigiano Reggiano, a traditional condiment also used for crescentine. To defend the art of preparing this exquisite single dish, a traveling corporation was born, I Maestri Ciacciai Palaganesi, which together with the Municipality of Palagano, promote the Palaganese Ciaccio Festival. Two days of celebration and fun, including typical products, ancient traditions, crafts and a side dish of musical performances, entertainment and cultural events. For both days, food and craft stands, children's area with inflatables, face painting, street artists, music and entertainment.
