Two days ago, Thursday 13 September 2018, in the VIII Permanent Commission - Agriculture, mountains, forests and parks of the Lombardy Regional Council a bill presented by the contact person was approved Floriano Massardi. This is the pdl that allows the collection of the finch and brambling, a long-awaited derogation from Lombard hunters and which has often reserved bitter disappointments.
The provision will go to the classroom for the final grade in the session of 9 October where it will have to obtain the favorable vote of the majority. If so, it will be possible to hunt the two species starting next October 20, so in about a month. The PDL is number 25 and provides for the regulation of the regime in derogation, as required by article 9 of the Community Directive 147 of 2009 (the so-called “Birds Directive”) of the European Parliament and of the Council. Furthermore, we are talking about the implementation of article 19 bis of the National Hunting Law.
The modification must concern a regional law, number 24 of 2008 ("Discipline of the derogation regime"). The act of the council initiative was assigned on 23 August and now the time seems ripe for a reversal of the trend. Lombard hunting associations have often fought for these exemptions and the new owner of the Regional Agriculture Department, Fabio Rolfi, has given us hope since he took office.
