ACV, Associazione Cacciatori Veneti-CONFAVI asked for a meeting with the President of the Veneto Regional Council, dr. Luca Zaia, to deliver the Popular Petition which has collected, in just over a month, over 17.000 signatures from subscribers who ask the President of the Regional Council to revoke the proxies to councilor Daniele Stival with his simultaneous removal from the Regional Council. The President Maria Cristina Caretta recalled that the Popular Petition proved necessary to remedy the situation that has arisen in Veneto in the last three years, a period in which, with the advent of Councilor Stival, the hunting situation has suffered a significant worsening, especially due to the failure to solve the problem of “stalking for hunting use, the failure to apply the derogation regime despite the fact that it is explicitly provided for by the Community Directive 2009/147 / EC, the repeated suspensions of the regional hunting calendar.
"On behalf of the Association that I have the honor to represent - wrote the President Maria Cristina Caretta in your letter - and on behalf of the 17.823 subscribers of the Popular Petition, I ask you, Mr. President, to be able to be received together with a delegation of subscribers to deliver the Petition with the relative signatures collected ".
“It will be up to you, Mr. President, decide whether to listen to this request made by such a large number of citizens who only ask you to replace a member of the regional council who, to the test of facts, has proven to be wasted for the role entrusted to him so far, considering, in our opinion, I believe that his skills not yet known to us can be better used in other sectors and to perform other functions ".
