La Lombardy region, on the proposal of the councilors Fabio Rolfi (Agriculture) e Massimo Sertori (Local Authorities, Mountain and Small Municipalities), approved in the last hours an allocation from 192mila euros for the activities carried out by the bodies or services of the fishing-hunting surveillance of the provinces in support of the functions of regional competence. 117 thousand euros will be disbursed for the recovery of the deceased wildlife following road accidents, with transport to the game processing centers for animals deemed edible by the veterinary authorities or, if not, at the Zooprophylactic Institute or at the carcass storage points.
Another 65 thousand euros will be allocated to the recovery of injured wildlife o in difficulty and 10 thousand euros will go to the Province of Brescia for the management of the fish hatcheries. As stated by Rolfi: “We are concretely close to the provinces, lacking economic and human resources in the management of these initiatives. It is a loan that allows you to carry out important activities also from a health point of view".
Sertori then added: "This measure confirms, also for 2019, the allocation of resources to the provincial administrations in the activities relating to hunting and ichthyogenic recovery of dead animals and game carcasses. We will provide them with the necessary tools to ensure maximum collaboration also with the regional territorial offices that manage activities relating to agriculture, hunting and fishing within them ”.
