Great satisfaction from ANUU for the decisions of the Lombard Agriculture Commission regarding the formal notice of ISPRA and the launch of the Regional Observatory.
We express our satisfaction with the approval, which took place on February 22, of motion n.189 in Commission VIII concerning the request for formal notice of Ispra and the start of the operation of the Regional Observatory already established with Council resolution n.7222 of the May 8, 2011.
The commitment voted in the "Agriculture" Commission invests the Regional Council to put the necessary pressure on Ispra to obtain the mandatory opinion necessary to establish the status of huntable species, considering that this Institute, failing to comply with the legislative obligations for which it was created, has not provided the data since 2005 and that only after the formalization in 2011 by the Agriculture Directorate General of the request for an opinion, on 20 June the same Institute replies communicating the impossibility of determining the small quantity as has been the case for too long now.
After the repeated pressures that our Association and the hunting world have made against the political and institutional world to find a solution to this problem, we appreciate the unambiguous vote of the Commission and at the same time we strongly reiterate the need for a clear stance from the political world at national level.
The important sentence of the Constitutional Court n.16 / 2012 concerning the Region of Sardinia reaffirms an application track that has long been supported by our Association confirming the full legitimacy of the data also provided by a Regional Observatory that can be used in the various legislative and administrative measures.
We have been supporting the launch of the Lombardy Regional Observatory, already established in 2008, with extreme urgency for some time to which we add the availability to use the data from IREALP and published at the beginning of 2010, as per resolution of the Regional Council n.7222 of 8.5.2008.
The regional framework now consolidated by the ruling of the Sardinia Region opens up a really interesting way to go by guaranteeing that, how provides for the approved motion, the Regional Observatory will actually start within the month of April. We, as always, will watch and insist that this really happens.
Furthermore, considering that from 21 December 2011 - the date on which the Lombardy Regional Council approved Agenda n.558 and n.561 - two months have already passed and that the subject of hunting in derogation must instead be dealt with quickly to avoid finding yourself in the summer months with some unresolved problems, we also urge the actions envisaged for the constitution of a specific Commission delegated to dialogue of a technical, institutional and political nature with the European Community, building a shared regulatory path that respects the local customs and traditions of the Lombard and Italian territory.
