Si the Provincial and Regional Assembly of ANUU Migrators are held in Concesio (BS) to take stock of the concluded Hunting Season and future programs.
As per consolidated tradition, the provincial assemblies of Brescia (chaired by Massimo Zanardelli) and regional assemblies of Lombardy (chaired by Andrea Trenti) of the ANUUMigratoristi were held in Concesio, at the House of associations, in order to take stock of the events of the hunting season which ended on January 31 last and, above all, to start the preparatory activities and actions for the 2012/13 season.
Established an excellent hold in the number of members - which certainly is not all for a hunting association worthy of the name, but which still helps by supporting the association programs - the Provincial President Umberto Gafforini first and the Lombardy Regional President Domenico Grandini then, have carried out a broad overview of the most important issues such as exceptions, the supply of live calls to the sheds, ecological days and sporting-competitive events, collaboration with local authorities (Province and Municipalities), joint work with other associations hunting carried out in 2011 in particular for the drafting of the revision of LR n. 26/93, the often unjustified or even illegitimate hunting restrictions adopted by some provinces, not only in Lombardy, and more.
Arguments that were taken up, on various levels, by all the guests who subsequently intervened from the table of the presidency: the Mayor of Concesio Stefano Retali, who in particular insisted on the importance of a fruitful relationship with local institutions, where it was born and strengthened with hunters a climate of mutual esteem and collaboration; the Regional Councilor Vanni Ligasacchi who, although present as a simple associate, in any case wished to testify to his commitment to achieving the objectives discussed; the President of the Executive Committee Massimo Marracci, who described the possible scenarios for the hunting activity deriving from the disappearance of the Provinces as we know them today and recalling the game on the regional hunting calendar that this year will also have to be played in Lombardy.
It was therefore the turn of the interventions from the very large audience of attentive listeners, first with the Brescia-based Balduchelli di Pezzaze and Zubbiani di Lumezzane, then moving on to the ANUU provincial presidents of Como and Varese, respectively Arturo Valerio and Valentino Bonin. Also present in the room Alessandro Cornalba, National Secretary, Roberto Zanetti Provincial Vice President of Varese, Massimo Colombo Provincial President of Lecco and Elio Guazzetti, Provincial Secretary of Como. Also present Gianfranco Vivaldi and Fulvio Bari for the ANUU of the neighboring province of Verona.
The assembly was closed by the National President Marco Castellani, who revisited the most important passages that emerged from the debate, focusing on the need to build a solid system of alliance with the agricultural world no longer based on chatter as up to now almost always, unfortunately, it happened rather for a concrete strategy of protection and promotion of rurality and defense with the teeth of the good “territory”, today plundered and destroyed as never before by the incessant advance of urbanization.
An epochal challenge, probably the only real challenge to be won on pain of the end of the hunt not because of animal rights activists and various appeals, but simply because of the lack of space necessary to exercise it. A message that will be launched loud and clear by the next National Assembly, the 54th in the history of ANUU, which will be held in Bergamo on March 24th.
