THEANUUMigrators has posted a new one weekly note on the migratory step based on data from the FEIN Observatory of Arosio, in the province of Como. Temperatures have dropped throughout Italy and future forecasts speak of a further drop, even below zero. The first snowflakes are expected even below 400 meters and consequently the pass is blocked after a daily and unforgettable presence of the redwing in November.
Furthermore, in the month that has just ended, Cesena has also reserved important surprises. On the other hand, one of the fateful dates of December is very close, namely 8, the day of the Immaculate Conception, duly remembered by our ancestors. The winter species did not reserve great news, while on the water courses the teals contingents have been rather robust, without forgetting the pintails and mallards.
The absence of lapwings and snipe was accentuated, a disappointment that is difficult to accept, while the woodcock has proven to be a well-preserved species. The season is about to end and the balance continues to be positive, in particular for the turdidae, but the same can be said for the other birds, except for the alternations typical of the autumn period.
