La Lazio region made his decision: after great uncertainty, the governor Nicola Zingaretti has decided to sign the decree that allows hunting activities to be carried out in municipal areas of Amatrice and Accumoli, in the province of Rieti. As is known, these are two of the cities devastated by the earthquake last August 24 (the tremors of the last few days, unfortunately, have further worsened the situation) and it was initially decided to ban hunting in order not to hinder rescue operations.
However, the position taken by the hunting associations and local hunting territories prevailed the Region has authorized at least the exercise of hunting only for the wild boar species. The collection can take place collectively through authorized teams in the assigned areas and included in these territories.
The hunting world of Reatino had turned to the Prefecture for this reason. In the last few hours, the National Animal Protection Authority (ENPA) has asked for the closure of the hunt in Umbria, Marche, Lazio and Abruzzo due to the recurrence of the tremors, although at the moment no other communications have been disseminated on the matter in the areas we are talking about.
