Coldiretti Bergamo welcomes the news released by the Lombardy Region about the creation of the Regional Observatory of natural habitats and faunal populations, an organization that will certainly have an important role in the long-standing history of the management of the wildlife, as operating directly on the territory will have a better chance of drawing up a precise picture of the number of these animals that every day devastate fields and crops, cause accidents and represent a health risk.
For Coldiretti Bergamo, thanks to the work of the new body, it will be possible to adopt effective tools and actions for respond to the real needs of the provincial territory and at the same time be of support to hunters engaged in the action of containing the damage caused by the excessive presence of these animals.
Coldiretti Bergamo concludes by highlighting that the green light to the Observatory represents a further demonstration of concrete will of the Lombardy Region to tackle the phenomenon of wild boars with determination and its consequences as well as to put in place an ever more marked attention to the management of wildlife in general.
