Just a month ago i hunters from the province of Lecco had asked for clarity on the annexation of the Local Park of Supra-municipal Interest (PLIS) "Monte di Brianza" a that of Montevecchia and Curone. Thirty days later the hunting world, but also sport fishermen and landowners have started a collection of signatures, forming at the same time a spontaneous committee to say no to the merger.
The committee was founded by Luigi Carissimi, president of the provincial Federcaccia of Lecco, Massimo Colombo (ANUUMigratoristi), Delio Baglioni, number one of the ATC Meratese, in addition to representatives of landowners. The collection of signatures started with a question to the Province: 1500 people have given their assent and now this document will be delivered to the new governor of Lombardy to ask for less constraints and less bureaucracy. Local hunters fear that hunting will be limited.
The alternative would be to close the PLIS and his own merger with the Mountain Community. The Committee aims at a free mountain that can be used by all: the next president of the Region will also listen to the requests relating to the institutes for the protection of wildlife and hunting areas. However, the collection of signatures has not ended and in the coming weeks the total number of signatories will certainly be increased to further increase the volume of the voice.
