THEAquatic Migrant Hunters Association (ACMA) updated the situation relating tobird flu. Just three days ago the Ministry of Health issued a provision on the subject that inevitably concerns live recalls. The ban on the use of the latter in regions with higher risk was extended again, to be precise until 30 April 2018. This is a decision without consequences, given that the hunting season is over, but the association did not agree with it.
According to the ACMA, in fact, the Ministry has not taken into consideration the actual risks and the outbreaks that have emerged so far, keeping the ban alive even in regions where there have been no cases of avian for years (such as in Umbria). The same goes for areas that have only one case to their credit (Lazio primarily). The provision even speaks of a favorable evolution of the pathology and the absence of new outbreaks in 2018, also because the latest ascertained dates back to the last 11th December.
One wonders then why the ban has not been lifted with this premise, it is not even clear if there will be positive news at the next deadline. Two months of flat calm did not convince the Ministry, now the ACMA has urged Federcaccia to ask for an official meeting to discuss the issue and responsibilities of live recalls in terms of the spread of the virus (according to the association they are equal to zero).
