The ringing station "Passo della Berga" which is located at bagolino, in the province of Brescia, announced that six days ago - Thursday 13 October 2016 - the catches ended. The original calendar is closed on Sunday (therefore October 16), but it was decided to anticipate due to adverse weather conditions. Bad weather affected the entire ringing period and there was no lack of days of fog and snow.
The step was defined as scarce and the most captured species ever was that of robin, followed by the finch and from song thrush. The presences of the ruler and the coal tit, on the contrary, were judged inconsistent.
On the other hand, some more interest was aroused by the catches of cruises, in increasing numbers compared to what has been recorded in recent years, as happened also for the fiorrancino. Ringers, volunteers and collaborators worked with great enthusiasm and came to this part of Lombardy from the same region, but also from Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Tuscany, as well as from France. The appointment has already been set for next year's ringing.
