Enalcaccia Genova on the control activity of polygastric ungulates in the provincial territory.
After a few days of absence from the Provincial office, on my return I read the decree issued by the Ligurian TAR which suspended for the umpteenth time the provision of the Province of Genoa, which authorized the selective withdrawal (only males) for the roe deer, this provision was dictated by the positive opinion of the ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research), by the censuses carried out by the evaluations carried out by the Polygastric Ungulates Committee, in which the representatives of the environmental / animal welfare associations are present (among other absent in recent meetings). The provision of the Regional Administrative Court arose from the appeal proposed by Avv. Granara on behalf of the Environmentalist / Animalist Associations. The selective activity of roe deer, for two years has not been practiced in the province of Genoa due to the appeals presented by the Environmentalist / Animalist Associations and always accepted by the Ligurian TAR. I believe in justice and I cannot think that the TAR of Liguria is biased, so after yet another provision, I think that the drafters of these regulations for the selection of roe deer are wrong and insist on issuing regulations that the TAR Liguria, for the province of Genoa believes it is not in line with the law.
At this point I ask the Associations that systematically resort to prepare a regulation for them, sheltered from their appeals, and I will work with the Provincial Administration so that this regulation is approved, to give certainty to those who intend to practice the selection hunt for roe deer, to have the certainty of being able to carry out this activity free to accept or not this regulation.
I believe all this is necessary for the selective control of roe deer as this animal is increasing exponentially, creating damage to agriculture and the forest heritage and causing numerous accidents on the roads of our province, we would like to pursue this path only one day later. the problems mentioned above, it happens that the surplus of roe deer generates some disease (as happened in the Gran Paradiso Park with the chamois). I look forward to your thoughts, your proposals, to try to resolve this issue.
