The Migratory Birdlife Office of the Italian Hunting Federation and ACMA will be present with their own contributions at the XVI Italian Ornithology Convention organized by ASOER to be held in Milano Marittima from 21 to 25 September.
There are four experimental works accepted by the Scientific Committee prepared by Fidc and ACMA, one of which as oral communication and three as posters.
The titles of the works are: for the oral communication "The hunting of Anatidae in Italy" and as a poster "Trend of the collection of lapwings by specialist hunters in Italy", "Results of the monthly census of waterfowl in the Canneviè Oasis - Porticino "Tendency of the Porciglione in two wetlands of the Tuscany Region and correlation with meteorological data". The authors are Michele Sorrenti, Alfonso Lenzoni, Gabriele Fasoli and Giancarlo Mariani.
The commitment of the Fidc and ACMA Associations and the irreplaceable contribution of the numerous hunters - detectors who have provided the data for many years and the work of the secretariat of the migratory avifauna office have allowed the presence of the hunting world in a scientific congress of Italian professional ornithologists .
This result proves more and more that hunters can become protagonists of ornithological research activities and thus enter fully into the management of migratory birds.
The innovative ideas and research of Federcaccia and ACMA therefore find legitimacy and certification in the scientific world, elevating hunters towards the role of manager-conservators that belongs to them.
