In the usual weekly column "Thoughtful", Provincial Federcaccia of Brescia spoke of wild boars. Here is the text of the press release. The Lombardy Region has approved a provision that allows farmers to shoot the boar on its own land throughout the year. The proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture, Fabio Rolfi, aims to combat the proliferation of wild boars in the region, especially to protect the safety and protection of agricultural crops.
"IS' a strong decision - said Councilor Rolfi - which wants to be a concrete response to the situation of exasperation that many farmers are forced to experience. With this act we give the possibility to farmers, with a regular license, to kill wild boars all year round. It is about an expansion of the containment activity so far reserved only for the provincial police and hunters ”. The Region has therefore decided to increase the chances of containing wild boars; It will now be up to the Provincial Police Commands and the Prefectures to coordinate the operations.
It sure is a courageous choice that of Rolfi which should not create big problems in the hunting world. The wild boar problem exists and as such must be addressed, not in words but in deeds. We look forward to the new zoning of the agro-forestry and pastoral territory wild boar sampling guidelines during the hunting season. They should already be ready for the next hunting season.
