In your weekly column "Thoughtful", Provincial Federcaccia of Brescia spoke of the ever closer demonstration in Turin. The hunting association will provide coaches to travel to Piedmont next June 8th. There are many Brescia hunters who hunt in Piedmont and you don't want to miss the right support for the event. The Piedmont Region is approving a new law to ban 15 huntable species on the rest of the national territory and even, in the most extremist but not too isolated fringes, would like to ban hunting on Sundays.
This attitude of the Region, which even wants to replace Parliament, is irritating and not a little the hunters. As explained by Federcaccia Brescia, there is no desire to interfere in the work that Federcaccia Piemonte is doing, which for its own reasons, even shared, has chosen not to participate in the event. Federcaccia Brescia instead wants to stigmatize its presence, representing the many Brescians who hunt or have hunted in Piedmont, underlining that the “draconian” choices that the new Piedmontese law wants to impose they are the result of "animalist neurasthenia".
The management of the territory, of the fauna and its sustainable collection can and must coexist. As stated in the statement, removing the garrison of hunters from the territory not only makes no sense but it does not benefit anyone and infringes a right provided for by a national law that already imposes huge portions of territory that are not allowed to hunt and a system of sanctions that, for example, imposes criminal sanctions only for the abatement of a transfer. For this Federcaccia Brescia will be in Turin. Those who are retired and those who can take the day off are invited to participate.
