Over 50 students of the University of L'Aquila have chosen to try their hand today with shotgun and targets on the platforms of the Acquaviva HST in Cellino Attanasio (TE). During the day, created by Flakes Foundation, the students were followed by specialized instructors and had at their side the skeet shooting champions Jessica Rossi, Mauro De Filippis e Massimo Fabbrizi. Together with them an exceptional guest: Valerio Staffelli, famous face of the television program “Striscia la Notizia” and a great lover of shooting.
After arriving early in the morning at the systems of the Acquaviva high-speed train, the students took part in a theoretical lesson, in which technical aspects and safety regulations were studied in depth. Subsequently, divided into three groups, the boys took turns on the platform and they tried to shoot under the watchful eye of the champions and instructors. "After being in Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont and Emilia Romagna we are happy to have involved the students from Abruzzo and very satisfied with their response - he said Marzio Maccacaro, Commercial Director of Fiocchi - The number of young people approaching shooting continues to grow also thanks to initiatives like this that we want to repeat throughout Italy.
The girls are also enthusiastic about trying their hand at shotguns and clay pigeons; sometimes they are even more curious and enterprising than their male peers. Unlike in the past, in which we were greeted with skepticism, we have registered a climate of strong interest and sharing of our discipline: something is finally changing. We are really proud of this cultural path that we have undertaken, necessary to break down some barriers of skepticism towards our world. We must continue on this path and the enthusiasm these guys transmit to us gives us the strength to go on ”.
