Brescia platforms
On the Brescia platforms of the Tav Ghedi, which hosted the First Test of the Italian Propeller Championship, 142 competed to start the chase for the 2024 Tricolore. An excellent start to the summer season for Marco Rodenghi. Having closed the regulation throws with 20/20, tied with Carmelo Passalacqua and Alessandro De Mattia, Rodenghi challenged them in the play-off and with +2 secured first place and the gold. With +1 Passalacqua and De Mattia took silver and bronze respectively. Federica De Mattia's victory was clear in the women's competition with 16/20, a score that allowed her to leave behind Paola Tattini, second with 14/20 +1, and Carmen Schwarz Foroni, third with 14/20 +0.
The various rankings
With 14/20 Francesco Maellaro secured the gold in the Junior classification ahead of Riccardo Rinaldi, second with 9. Among the Third category the best on the platform was Moses Fattini, first with 19/20 ahead of Giuseppe Calabretto, silver with 18, and to Mauro Biondi, bronze with 17 +1. Paolo Foroni established himself in the Senior qualification ranking not without difficulty. In fact, after having concluded the regulation throws with a score of 18/20, tied with three other shooters, to get the gold medal around their necks they had to regulate in the play-off, prevailing with +3. With him on the podium were Claudio Snagiorgi, second with 18 +2, and Luca Boschi, third with 18 +1. Without the need for play-offs, however, the Veterans' competition ended. The winner was Giuseppe Catalano, gold with 19/20, ahead of Aldo Vignoli, second with 18, and Andrea Martignoni, third with 17.
The best teams
Finally, among the Masters, Guerrino Nanni won this first stage of the Italian Championship with 17/20. With him on the podium were Cristiano Forte with 16 +4 and Giancarlo Serra with 16 +3. Moving on to the Team ranking, the sextet of the Tuscan Tav Le Casine composed of Alessandro and Federica De Mattia, Aldo Vignoli, Luca Boschi, Andrea Martignoni and Erasmo Pacini prevailed with 105/120. The hosts of Tav Ghedi took the second step of the podium thanks to the 104/120 achieved by Marco Rodenghi, Paolo Foroni, Gianluca Ghidoni, Luca Facchini, Giovanni Barbieri and Piero Boselli. The Emilia-Romagna team from Tav Bologna came third with 104/120. It was created by Giuseppe Catalano, Aldo Olivieri, Guerrino Nanni, Massimo Bertolini, Francesco Baldi Pergami Belluzzi and Giancarlo Serra (source: FITAV).
