Federcaccia Campania, the need to clarify the five projects concerning issues of significant environmental, wildlife and hunting interest, such as the national register of ungulates, biodiversity and wildlife management, defense of the Marsican Bear, enhancement of meat from the hunting, European governance in the field of wildlife.
The birth of a plan articulated on 5 basic projects for a new environmental supply chain, which involves subjects with different purposes and interests in a less corporate synergistic path and based on respect for the identity of each member is generating attacks, misunderstandings and false information , while in our opinion it represents an opportunity to follow and support. The universities of Milan, Naples, Urbino, Federparchi, Federcaccia, Arci Caccia, Anuu Migratoristi and Legambiente have joined and will give their contribution and collaboration to the realization of the five projects. The CNCN, Coldiretti and the Society of Preventive Veterinary Medicine were then added to these by communicating their adhesion.
The projects implemented are focused on issues of significant environmental, wildlife and hunting interest, such as the construction of the national register of Ungulates, the importance of biodiversity and the management of wildlife, the defense of the Marsican bear, the enhancement of meat from hunting, the creation of a European governance in the field of wildlife. These are initiatives that, if carried out, will bring undoubted benefits in terms of the environment and hunting, and employment spaces for young people are not excluded. Yet somewhere the hunting associations that have firmly signed this work protocol and that intend to carry it forward by making their structures, their skills, their organization available, have been pointed out as denying their being and the values they represent through attacks and a smear campaign against them that goes beyond the limits of common sense.
To these people and to all those who in good faith have believed in their arguments, we say to carefully read the memorandum of understanding signed with Legambiente to realize that it is based on specific issues that cannot be disagreed by the hunting world, expected that one of the most important environmental associations discusses and talks about environmental results obtainable through the hunting world. The protocol signed with the other interlocutors and with Legambiente deals with the management of the territory and wildlife, how to solve the problematic damage caused by ungulates, the implementation of initiatives to create a controlled food chain of game, and laying the foundations for a collection of data deriving from censuses and killing, indispensable for the hunting world, calendars drawn up in compliance with national and European regulations, which give certainties on the closing and opening dates of individual huntable species, and more.
If all this means that Federcaccia and the Associations that have shared the path with Legambiente with it have denied themselves, their history, abdicated their role, their ideas and not rather that they intended to implement a common, synergistic path Federcaccia leaves it to the evaluation of members, hunters, all those who in some way they are close to our world and to the values we represent and defend.
Hunting needs to get out of its isolation, to find subjects willing to discuss common problems and find shared solutions; there are far too many sick of fundamentalism, deaf and averse to any proposal or initiative, such as animal rights activists, let's not create them even among hunters.
