Fidasc: two of the three spring competitions of Torre Baccelli ended up in the capable bag of the Pisan who put in line shooters of the highest national and international level and who failed to make the en plein for that single target suffered by Gianfranco Bizzieri in the Championship Italian small calibers (Cal. 28).
The 146 shooters who took to the platform for this full-bodied spring event of English had bread for their teeth under the technical and sporting aspect but they also had a lot of fun in a specialty that is a pleasant novelty for our country but which includes a number stratospheric of shooters all over the world. “Fidasc - said the president Felice Buglione - has focused heavily on the increasingly complete and welcoming structure of the Federal School of Torre Baccelli, organizing two Italian Championships and a Grand Prix over three days. A long spring weekend that acts almost as a great dress rehearsal for the World Cup on 1st and 2nd August which will bring many very strong shooters from all over the world to Italy and which, combining the intrinsic prestige of the title with a really prize money greedy, will constitute the springboard capable of definitively launching the specialty, making it known and appreciated by an ever-growing number of athletes ".
The entire event was staged under the coordination of Alessandro Capelletto who was also the designer of the launches - assisted by the stainless Angelo Antonioli - and who made use of an arbitration pool of the highest order composed of: Alfredo Telese, Umberto Fronzetti , Donato Ricciardi, Vitaliano Maglio, Guido Zocche, Domenico Minighini, Vincenzo Grauso, Maurizio Fontana, Massimo Pasquini, Enrico Evangelisti, Marcello Capacci, Giancarlo Manfredini and Massimo Marchetti. In the secretariat the now very expert Mariagrazia Zorzi and, behind the scenes, the tireless and attentive staff of the Federal School of Torre Baccelli.
The three competitions, Italian Small Caliber Championship (only for Categories with grouping Ecc. And 1 ^ - 2 ^ and 3 ^ and divided between cal. 36-410 and cal. 28), Individual Grand Prix free caliber (for Categories and Qualifications) and the Italian Individual Free Caliber Championship (again by categories and Qualifications), all "races" took place at a distance of 100 targets and in the same 12 platforms (10 for 4 couples and 2 for 5 couples) which, however, recorded significant changes not only between one race and the other, but also on the same day on Friday with the 36 and 410 in the morning and the cal. 28 in the afternoon.
Thanks also to a pleasant climate and a truly impeccable organization, the three days went smoothly and was characterized by an atmosphere of great serenity which is a pleasant feature of this sporting specialty. A practice in which fun leaves no room for competitive exasperation that is also tempered by the "English technique" with which the competition takes place: without rigid time limits and with the possibility of choosing not only the order of the platforms but also the any companions with whom you want to shoot.
During the awards ceremony of the Italian Championship, which was attended by the deputy mayor of Fara in Sabina, Mauro Pinzari and the councilor for culture Antonino La Torre, the members of the Italian teams who won two very prestigious medals of bronze at the English Sporting World Championships held in the USA last month: Senior: Gian Franco Bizzieri, Filippo Boldrini, Giuseppe Calò, Pasquale Gabbiadini and Gabriele Soldani and Veterans: Luciano Baggi, Angelo Cirillo and Alessandro Mometti. The complete rankings of the races are available on the official website.
