Two days ago, Sunday 28 May 2017, Colle Pizzuto hosted the party organized by Frascatani Hunters' Club, an important occasion that brought together more than one hundred people from Castelli Romani. The convivial day allowed to deepen the main problems that grip the local hunting world. In particular, the most controversial aspects of the National Hunting Law: the rules are defined as discriminatory for anyone who wants to run their auxiliaries.
These dogs have the possibility to go out without a leash only during the hunting period and fifteen days before the opening of the hunt. That is why it was requested the establishment of areas without shooting and without placing game in which the dog can run freely. There has been no lack of criticism of the areas where hunting is prohibited. According to Italian law, in fact, the surfaces in which they must be present parks and protection oases they must not go beyond 30% of the territory, while in Lazio it is approaching 50%.
The Frascatani hunters have accused these protected areas, now "chasms for public money", as well as responsible for environmental imbalance. Finally, there was discussion of the growing relentlessness on the part of some circles against hunting, when, on the other hand, the true defenders of nature are the hunters who turn into sentinels of the forest and nature.
