At a time when unity and cohesion would be needed, da who is against hunting it only tries to target the company with information deliberately mismatched. Once again, those who are unable or unwilling to do find nothing better than to criticize and try to discredit what others are doing. It is the case of some fringes and small local groups of animal rights associations who evidently "outraged" by what the hunting world has done in these difficult weeks, spread false news about the effort that the hunters have put in place to help the Nation in fight against Covid-19 in the form of cash donations, health equipment and volunteer work, civil protection support, community service, help for families in need, etc. It is not the time for controversy and at the moment it is in the country and to his needs that we turn our attention.
The recognized hunting associations and the CNCN, gathered in the control room, believe that certain falsehoods and slanders must however be nipped in the bud. The biggest among the many is that the donations of the hunters were made with the money of the State, therefore of the citizens and that in essence we make ourselves beautiful without effort. So it is good to clarify - moral considerations aside on those who at this moment think that we can make ourselves beautiful about suffering and grief - that the Italian hunting world does not receive any direct funding from the state: in reality it is a partial refund of an additional quota to the state and regional concessions that each individual hunter pays each year to be divided among the hunting associations in exchange for what is done in terms of environmental wildlife management.
What is given by the Associations then - the "derisory" figure according to them, of about 1 million and 600 thousand euros - it is money coming from hunters, not from the State, to which the offers made by each individual hunter citizen, his family and those close to the hunt have been added. So, said perhaps a little brutally so that even the extremist animal rights associations and their members can understand it, every single euro donated by the hunters comes from the pockets of the hunters! Can they say the same about how they subsidize and what their initiatives are?
And let's not talk about the beneficial ones, in which everyone acts only according to conscience, and almost with modesty. Instead, the resources that hunters make available to the community through their licenses and permits every year (which we prudently quantify in over 200 million euros) is money used by the State and by the Regions in many items of expenditure in favor of citizens, one for all precisely health. And we do not mention what has been done in terms of community services in the form of voluntary working hours (free laws) for management operations in favor of the Public Administration.
Then the fact that these accusations are side by side the usual panegyric made of wild boars that would increase due to hunting - go and tell the farmers, especially now that the control interventions are suspended - it says a lot about the pretext of certain arguments, the purpose of which is always and only one: to attack hunting and hunters. Once again, however, the hunters prove to be actors of small and great gestures of responsibility which is out of place to question, given in response to an emergency that today more than ever calls for sacrifices and poses new difficulties that can only be overcome through unity and collaboration. With all due respect to those who just want to divide!
Make the front of the AAVV recognized nationally in this case as well.
All AAVVs have each contributed to their own possibilities.
So we learn not to divide ourselves and all together we hold high the name of the Cacciatofi
