Hunting and Science: the conference on "Woodcock and scientific research" will be held in Amelia, in the province of Terni, together with the collaboration between the world of science and hunting for the concrete protection of the species.
We will talk about the commitment of the hunting world for the knowledge and management of the species, as well as the inseparable link between Woodcock and dog lovers, in the conference promoted by the Provincial Section of Terni of the Federcaccia Umbra, in collaboration with all the municipal sections of the territory, entitled "Woodcock and scientific research", scheduled in Amelia on October 16 at 17.30 pm, in the Sala Conti Palladini.
Speakers of the highest level will be Alessandro Tedeschi, president of the “Amici di Scolopax” association and valuable collaborator of the Migratory Birdlife Office of the Italian Hunting Federation, and Fabrizio Baloci, Italian and international champion hunter-dog-woodcock.
Furthermore, regional and national authorities of the Italian Federation of Hunting will be present. Also this year, therefore, it is to a mythical and mysterious wild animal like the Woodcock, fundamental for Italian hunting, that the Federcaccia di Terni dedicates an ad hoc conference, with the aim of training and informing its members and sympathizers about the importance of this game and the absolute need to protect it, also and above all from from the point of view of habitat conservation and from the ethical aspect of sampling.
A true passion of all Italian and European hunting dog lovers, this night migrant with unpredictable yet repetitive routes will therefore be at the center of next Thursday's meeting. At the end of the works, a dinner is scheduled at the “Anita” restaurant, in the public gardens of Amelia.
