Following the work of comparison and consultation in recent days, the regional council of Toscana approved the new Regional Hunting Calendar for the 2020/21 season.
- In the Resolution, which will be available shortly, the contents of the previous Hunting Calendars are reported as regards the opening and closing dates of the hunting season (third Sunday of September 2020 - 31 January 2021) without any curtailment of huntable species including those subject to appeal: Pochard, Fighter and Lapwing.
- An important innovation has been introduced, which we also requested last year, to increase the annual heads for the collection of the species Lark. The game bag allowed to “specialist hunters” goes from 50 to 100 head per season, with a maximum of 20 head per day.
- Differentiation in the various ATCs of the opening and closing dates for hunting wild boar in hunt in compliance with the time frame from 1st October 2020 to 31st January 2021.
- Maintenance of the date of January 31 for the species Woodcock, Turdidae and Anatidae.
With the approval of the new Regional Hunting Calendar which will be followed by the resolution on the pre-opening, the Tuscany Region is today carrying out an important act to guarantee legal certainty for all Tuscan hunters. A concrete signal of restart for the entire sector and for the activities that revolve around our world, which, net of controversy and distinction, allows us to look forward with confidence for the continuation of our passion. There Confederation of Tuscan Hunters, in giving a positive opinion on the contents and approval times of the new Hunting Calendar, reminds that the offices, staff and managers and volunteers of the confederate associations are available for any information and for carrying out the related hunting practices.
