Hunting: Campania, the Italian Hunting Union says NO to the San Lupo wind farm, in the province of Benevento; “When questioned… the dead man does not answer !!!
As our custom, we do not limit ourselves to just making press releases for their own sake but we promptly report to our subscribers and sympathizers the latest news regarding the actions taken by the SVI. In this regard, therefore, we begin to sum up what we have proposed to all Associations, whether hunting or environmental, to join our project to combat the birth of an eco-monster in San Lupo (BN) which, with demagogic terminology, the politically respectable and pseudo-environmentalists call the Wind Park.
Yes gentlemen, they speak of a "park" playing with people's psyche and thus bringing to mind uncontaminated woods, with clear streams and multicolored birds, where, instead, a mega-structure made of thousands of cubic meters of concrete will be built. with total destruction of thousands of hectares of forest (just think of the slaughterhouse that will have to be done to build the roads necessary to reach the ridges of the mountains), with the use of highly toxic materials for humans and the environment ( that at the end of their natural life they will have to be disposed of in some way), the horrific view that will follow (with consequent loss of the landscape value that will also affect "green" tourism) and the awareness of the death of hundreds or perhaps thousands of birds (especially birds of prey, therefore, particularly protected species) that sloth will hit those damned shovels and fall to the ground waiting for certain death (without consideration rare changes in the migration routes of dozens of bird species which, no longer recognizing the route, will change their way to move on different migration routes, avoiding passing through Italy).
All this for an ephemeral temporary asset made up of European and national funds that for the first years will cascade (we don't care in whose pockets) but then will end, leaving behind only rubble and destruction of the most precious asset which is precisely the environment and bio-diversity, which so much wealth could, instead, bring, for decades or centuries, for farmers, breeders, tourism workers and, why not, for operators in the hunting sector. Political myopia is doing its utmost, in this moment of economic crisis, to destroy the few resources, natural and economic, that we have in the silence of all, or almost. In fact, with our press release, dated July 24th, we asked all the associations (without making any difference between hunting or environmental, recognized or unrecognized) operating in the Campania region to give us a nod to help us in this fight. , giving August 10 as the deadline for membership. Well, the fateful date has arrived but not the responses to join, at least not to the extent we expected.
The following promptly joined: the Col-Diretti Agricultural Association of Benevento (giving willingness to participate with its legal office in the appeal to the Regional Administrative Court); the Hunting Association of Campania Hunters Association (giving its economic and structural availability for the same purpose); the Environmental Association Wilderness Italia (with a formal letter of protest to the institutions responsible for this). The other hunting associations, to date, have not joined. Simply by not responding to our invitation or postponing the decision to unlikely meetings (at a later date) of the Single Coordination of the Hunting Associations of Campania which seems not interested in safeguarding the territory and the environment (if only because without territory one does not go hunting ). The environmentalists, after removing the aforementioned, simply snubbed us.
To these associations we say that there is still time to do the "mea culpa" and to help us in the struggle. In fact, the appeal must be sent, without fail, by 24 August. We will wait for you until the 23rd then everyone will assume their responsibility towards their members but, above all, towards future generations, who will not have the opportunity to enjoy an uncontaminated territory, handed down to us by our fathers but we are unable to pass it on. to our children.
In the meantime, the fight continues and we will not stop, on the contrary we inform you of a first victory, in fact, with a letter dated 30.07.2013 (which we enclose in copy) the Ministry of the Environment and Land Protection has responded to our deductions by requesting the Campania Region information regarding the procedure followed to authorize the birth of the wind monster. We wait, with the serenity of the righteous, to see what they will invent to assert their non-existent reasons.
