Hunting: Genoa, the Liguria Tar cancels the roe deer hunting collection by blocking the opening of the season scheduled for last June 1st.
The hunt for roe deer in the province of Genoa did not start last June 1st, as was originally planned. After two suspension orders, in fact, the judgment of merit of the Liguria TAR was published, which cancels the measures and condemns the Province and the Hunting Associations that have intervened in court to pay the legal costs (4.000 euros). The appeal was presented by the environmentalists of Vas (Associazione Verdi Ambiente), represented by the lawyer Daniele Granara, against the Province of Genoa and the sentence of the TAR determines the annulment of the authorization measures for the Roe Deer Hunt. According to the Tar judges, the reasons for the cancellation are the lack of ISPRA's prior opinion; non-compliance with ISPRA opinion on the advisability of using non-toxic lead-free ammunition to avoid contamination of meat and lack of the Wildlife-Hunting Plan in force in the province of Genoa.
