In less than two weeks the CONI headquarters in Mestre (province of Venice) in Via del Gazzato will host an event organized by Local Federcaccia. This is a seminar that is focused on satellite radio telemetry and on migratory birds. The appointment makes use of the financial contribution of Veneto region, to be precise, the Department of Hunting and Fishing. The works will begin at 9 on Tuesday 6 November 2018 with the vice president of the national Federcaccia, Lorenzo Carnacina, which will introduce the topics and give space to technical interventions.
Michele Sorrenti - scientific manager of theFIdC Bird Migration Office- who will talk about satellite telemetry in the management of migratory birds; we will continue at 10:30 with Antonella Labate - federcaccia Lombardia Technical Office - on the telemetry project applied to Cesena undertaken by FIdC Lombardia; at 11:30 Alfonso Lenzoni - President of ACMA - will illustrate the results obtained and future developments of the "AnaSat" project and at 12:15 Nicoletta Perco - Italian contact person for the Waldrappteam project - will deal with the use of GPS in the reintroduction project of the Eremita Ibis in Europe.
To conclude the part dedicated to the interventions, at 14 pm will be Alessandro Tedeschi - President of the "Amici di Scolopax" Association - on research in favor of knowledge of the woodcock between past, present and future. Finally, at 15 pm, a round table with the speakers will open.
