Yesterday's session, Monday 14 May 2018, of the Regional Council of the Aosta Valley led to the approval of the hunting calendar on the 2018-2019 season. Even the smallest Italian region therefore has its own text, but how were the various periods chosen? As for the selective collection of wild boar, you can go hunting from the September 9 to the October 25, while for chamois the time period will be longer (up to 18 November to be precise).
The same term will apply to male roe deer. Below 1800 meters above sea level the European hare it can be hunted from 16 to 30 September, without forgetting the roaming fox (from 1 October to 9 December). The whole month of October will be the one dedicated to the quail; the black grouse, on the other hand, has two periods, that is from 1 to 31 October and then from 1 to 29 November.
The time period between October 1st and December 9th has been approved as the one in which they will be huntable woodcocks, cesene, wood pigeons, crows, magpies, jays, blackbirds, song thrushes and stone thrushes. The last details concern the deer (from 13 October to 20 December), hunting wild boar in pursuit (from 12 December to 27 January 2019) and fox hunting, always on the hunt (scheduled from 12 December to 27 January next year).
