One of the most interesting events of Hunting Village, whose 2018 edition has just closed, was undoubtedly the one organized by UNA Foundation (Man Nature Environment). The non-profit organization has decided to focus attention on the role of hunting in the development of the Umbrian territory. They participated, among others, Fernanda Cecchini (regional councilor for the environment), Gianluca Dall'Olio (president of the Federcaccia), Sergio Sorrentino (number one Arci Caccia) e Maurice Zipponi (president of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation).
Councilor Cecchini recalled how environmental awareness on hunting policies has never been exasperated in Umbria. The hunter is not to be considered simply a person who shoots, but a person who loves the environment and practices a passion. Furthermore, during the event, the role of hunting activity was discussed as regards the economic and environmental enhancement of the Umbrian territory. The UNA Foundation is providing the adequate scientific-operational support, without forgetting the projects of great involvement.
For example, 850 students from Forlì took part in "Biodiversity is ONE", while in Lombardy the "Wild and Good" project for the enhancement of game meat. This is why the non-profit organization recalled how it was born to respond to needs of the territories in terms of fauna and environment.
