Hunting: Liguria, with its own press release, the Coordination of Hunting Associations thanks the hunters for the great participation in the protest event held yesterday in Genoa.
Regarding the demonstration of the HUNTERS held yesterday morning, November 25th, and of the press release issued by the WWF, LAC and VAS Associations, the Coordination of the Hunting Associations of Liguria (Italian Federation of Hunting, ANUU Migratoristi, Enalcaccia, Liberacaccia and Arcicaccia): - thanks all those who took part in it;
- thanks all those who, in various ways, have made this moment of unity and democratic expression of their needs possible through their work;
- reminds that democracy is not measured by numbers;
- reiterates its solidarity with all workers in difficulty and in particular with the employees of the subsidiaries of the Municipality of Genoa;
- specifies that the demonstration was not held "against the magistrates of the Council of State" or against any body of justice, against which the hunters citizens do not rant but continue to have the utmost respect;
- is proud to represent a minority of Ligurians with an immaculate criminal record who carry out a legitimate activity in compliance with laws and regulations and for which they pay approximately 5 million euros in taxes to the Region and the State;
- is proud to represent a minority that, together with farmers and other users of the environment, concretely contributes to the real environmental protection and defense of the ecosystem;
- reassures all Ligurian citizens who care about the environment, recalling that on 15/10/2013 also the European Commissioner for the environment Potonik stated that: "there is no element confirming the incompatibility with the European Directive on Birds of seasonal and daily game bags established by the Italian regions in the hunting calendars [therefore, also Liguria] for the different huntable species ".
