Hunting: Piedmont, after the suspension of the opening of the 2013-2014 Hunting Season by the TAR, the Region says it is ready to implement the changes to the document according to the reasons for the sentence.
In recent days the judges of the Piedmont Tar have suspended the new Piedmontese Hunting Calendar valid for the 2013-2014 Hunting Season, which has already begun in many regions, welcoming the appeal of animal rights activists; in addition to the opening of the hunt previously scheduled for 29 September, the TAR ruling also blocked all the acts connected to the provision, including the resolution containing the guidelines for the collection of ungulates and typical alpine fauna, indications regarding the period for the hunting of migratory species from temporary stalking and the documents containing the criteria for the admission of hunters in the ATCs and in the regional Alpine Districts. Immediate controversy in the Regional Council with strong criticism from the opposition to the work of the councilor Sacchetto in the matter of hunting activities; Governor Cota is asked for "a strong gesture in the face of the evident inadequacy of councilor Sacchetto" in order to effect "a decisive change of course" after the rejection of Sacchetto by the TAR.
The Region has therefore made it known that it will make the appropriate changes to produce an adequate Hunting Calendar that incorporates the reasons for the sentence and the notes of the administrative judges. The hunting department itself has announced that "it takes note of the decision of the Piedmont TAR to suspend the regional hunting calendar" and that "While it believes that it has acted correctly on the assessment of the impact on the hunting calendar, it will already be done during the next session of the regional council to acknowledge the findings from the TAR and to adopt the administrative acts necessary to accommodate the requests highlighted ".
