Hunting: Umbria, the draft of the new 2014/2015 Hunting Calendar and the regulation for the management of wild boar examined by the Regional Faunal Hunting Council; the aim is final approval by June.
The calendar of the next hunting season and the rules of wild boar hunting, shared with all the representative associations, will be adopted by the regional council in a short time so that all the opportunities offered can be studied in depth. The proposals of the two acts, drawn up by the regional offices, were examined today by the Regional Wildlife Hunting Council, in the meeting convened and chaired by the Regional Hunting Councilor. During the session, which was attended by the representatives of the hunting, agricultural and environmental associations, of the "Atc" (territorial hunting areas) and of the institutions, first of all the discussion on the draft of the hunting calendar for the 2014/2015 season was developed. , formulated on the basis of the calendar of the season just ended and which combines the different needs of those who revolve around the hunting world.
A plant on which agreement was expressed, with the presentation of some proposals and changes, in particular as regards the dates of the pre-opening that will precede the "start" of the season, on 21 September, on the third Sunday of the month. At the evaluation of the Council, also the opportunity and the possibility of including the quail among the huntable species in the pre-opening. Committing himself to the implementation of the proposals made today by the hunting associations in a new draft of the calendar, the representative of the Hunting Department anticipated that he will soon convene a meeting of the Council to continue the discussion and reach a shared and definitive solution on the nodes still open. The intention is to reach the approval of the calendar by next June 15th.
The Council then continued to examine the proposed Regulation governing wild boar hunting to regulate the presence of hunters on the territory, the collection of the species and the methods of collection. It was agreed to deepen the priority points, already identified, in the next meeting and to reach a shared text as soon as possible, since the deadline of 31 May is imminent, the date by which the teams of wild boar hunters must have completed the registration process.
