The Veneto Regional Law on Hunting Altane will end before the Constitutional Court following the request of the Group for legal intervention.
In the next few days, the environmentalist association Gruppo d'Invento Giuridico non-profit organization, led by Stefano Delpieri, will ask the Government to challenge the Veneto Regional Law No. 6 of 2012 July 25 before the Constitutional Court as it would violate the powers of the state. The law in question, which liberalizes the construction of hunting lodges, was voted on in the Regional Council on July 6, but now the environmentalists are asking for government intervention.
On the matter explains Stefano Delpieri, "While following specific exposures from us and from the League for the Abolition of Hunting regarding the umpteenth hunting huts and rooftops, the umpteenth answer concerning the lack of landscape and urban planning authorizations for stalking comes from Monte di Malo fixed hunting in the Vicenza area, the GUP of the Court of Ancona, by order of 7 May 2012, requested the ruling of the Constitutional Court regarding the legitimacy of the regional legislation of the Marche which exempts these structures from obtaining the necessary qualifications ".
Continuing Delpieri announces, “It should be remembered, in fact, that the Constitutional Court, in interpreting the principle of the reservation of law in criminal matters, has constantly affirmed the“ monopoly ”of the state legislator. All Regions that intend to support the hunting claims of impunity for hunting huts and rooftops are thus warned, such as the Veneto Region, which recently legislated in this regard: in these days the non-profit Legal Intervention Group will ask the national government to challenge the regional law of 6 July 2012, no. 25 before the Constitutional Court for blatant violation of the constitutionally guaranteed state competences ".
