Just under a month to go to the edition number 22 of Wild Boar Festival of Campo Ligure, a small town in the province of Genoa. The official dates of the event go from 2 to 5 August next, a much awaited appointment as well as a fixed stop as regards the summer of festivals in this area. In the coming weeks we will know the program in more detail, for the moment it is possible to get an idea by deepening what has happened in past editions.
Campo Ligure has just under 3 thousand inhabitants and is located in the center of the Stura Valley, on the banks of the homonymous stream, with a part of the territory included in Beigua Regional Natural Park. In addition, the city also borders on the Capanne di Marcarolo Natural Park. The latest festivals were set up at the Park of the Spinola Castle with the active contribution of the Italian Red Cross.
You will undoubtedly taste the traditional dishes based on wild boar meat, in particular ravioli, stew, sausage and some news that is always interesting and welcome. Good music is never lacking, so all that remains is to wait for these weeks in July before the actual start of the Ligurian festival.
