The judges of the Lazio Regional Administrative Court have decided to grant the appeal of a resident hunter in Rome who had contacted this office after the non-renewal of the rifle port by the Police Headquarters. The problem arose when the police found the weapons belonging to a deceased person in the man's home. The ruling of the TAR is clear, the hunting license is safe if it is shown in a timely manner that the weapons of a relative who is no longer there and which remain in the house have not been reported as nothing was known about it.
In the last few days, the Lazio judges have published the reasons and other details can therefore be explored. The relatives of the deceased did not know of the existence of the rifles in his possession. A year after his disappearance, this person's daughter and a hunter started a relationship and after an inspection the weapons without notification came out.
According to the police, there would have been an omitted complaint and careless custody. The administrative ruling has changed the cards on the table. The hunter knew nothing of the weapons that they weren't even his property and the chronology of events was instrumental in maintaining the hunting license.
