La Lombardy region has published and issued the important circular governing theuse of live calls which belong to very specific species. These are the charadriforms and the anseriforms, a regulation that will be in force during the next hunting season. To request the rings, fundamental as well as mandatory, there is time until the next one 29th July, therefore another eight days remain available.
Each ring has a cost of one euro and the request must be made through regular application and self-certification, without forgetting the payment. Furthermore, starting from next September 1st, it will be possible to collect the rings at the offices in charge. The circular also refers to conditions of use of the calls, the way to use to house them, the types of calls allowed and the suitable places.
As pointed out by Federcaccia Brescia, these are troublesome obligations, as well as a legacy of the indications of the Ministry of Health after the last outbreak of avian. Many families of birds belong to the species of charadriformes, among which we can mention woodcocks, snipe, sandpipers and golden woodcocks. The anseriformes are instead another order of birds, such as for example some swans and geese, various types of ducks, mallards and teals.
