Arci Caccia Marche wrote a long letter to the councilor Carloni confirming its willingness, and that of its shareholders, to actively participate in the preventive operations of contrast of PSA. At the same time he asked for the involvement of the widest possible audience of hunters and the use of containment in hunted.
Here is the text in detail: “First of all we thank the Marche region for the commitment shown in combating the spread of African swine fever. We consider it useful to depopulate the wild boar through the adoption of an ad hoc control plan with the aim of reducing the possibility of arrival and therefore of spread of ASF in our region and neighboring ones. We ask that in this plan there is the possibility of involving as many volunteer operators as possible in the numerical control of the wild boar (hunters enrolled in the PDA, trained hunters, selechunters, volunteer guards etc.).
We ask that it be possible to use it in a secular way and without prejudice, with the aim of maximizing as much as possible the wild boar harvest every technique (hunted, shot and selection) in every regional territory without distinction. As for hunting, certainly the most efficient technique in the depopulation of wild boar, it is requested that it be authorized until they find cases of ASF at such a distance from the intervention area that there is a risk of spreading the infection (the president of Arci Caccia Marche, Gabriele Sperandio) ".
