On Sunday 24 March 2019 the regional elections in Basilicata, a very heartfelt appointment. Matteo Salvini, Minister of the Interior and Deputy Prime Minister, went to Tito Scalo, a locality in the province of Potenza and headquarters of the “Patrone e Mongiello”, an important automotive related factory. The leader of the League addressed the company employees speaking of the upcoming vote and, after several references to the economy and wages, there was also a hint related to hunting.
Salvini's words on hunting were clear: "Good luck to the workers, to the entrepreneurs. Then, if there are also hunters I tell you hands off the traditions, on that we do not change our mind". It is not the first time that the exponent of the Conte government talks about hunters and hunters, always with favorable tones and total openness. Certainly the hunting world can welcome these few but reassuring statements.
In two days there will be four candidates who will compete for the office of Lucan governor: they are Carlo Trerotola (center left), Vito Bardi (center right); Antonio Mattia (5 Star Movement) and the “Basilicata possible” list in support of Valerio Tramutoli.
