Mr Barbara Mazzali, regional councilor of the Lombardia (Brothers of Italy), has entrusted its opinion on Facebook to Ministry of Ecological Transition which is being talked about a lot in these hours. Here are his words: “Dear friends, the Draghi executive has not yet been born and news is already breaking in that does not presuppose anything good for the future. Yesterday the information came out that there will be a "Ministry of ecological transition". And so far, so good. Of course, many variables must be evaluated and what it entails must be specifically understood, but on paper there are no contraindications. The negative notes, however, are two.
The first is more in form than in substance, but it serves to make people understand a certain type of mentality: do you know who broke the news? The WWF concluded the consultations with Draghi. Now, it is possible that the WWF arrogate the right to give such important information about the future government even before the president in charge gives it? But let's talk about the negative note of substance. I have not been contacted representatives of the hunting world! Within a discourse on the environment that provides for programs, choices and objectives to be set, the most important animal rights and environmental associations have been called but no representation of hunters has been convened.
We know very well that it has always been the Atc, the Cac and the mountain communities they are principals in charge of the territory, with a trained and qualified workforce which is an invaluable asset. Losing such wealth is a sin and a waste. Instead we were not considered up territory and environment, precisely the issues that are not only important to us but on which we can make a fundamental contribution of knowledge and experience. In Italy there are about 600 thousand hunters and this number should already count for something. But beyond the quantity, the fact that we are profound connoisseurs of the territory and sentinels for the environment should count. Some might say that there are too many hunting associations and that Draghi could not have listened to them all.
Of course, but this also applies to animal rights activists. It is not up to me to say how and which ones he should have chosen, but as the WWF has called among many environmentalist acronyms, so he could have done for our world. I do not just make a speech of principle (although in fact this exclusion is difficult to swallow). I would rather make a vision of the future of it. If these are the premises, how can we have confidence in a government and its environmental policies? It is reasonable to think that we will once again be lagging behind within the national institutions. My party, Brothers of Italy, he is the only one who has so far declared that clarity that he will not trust Draghi and will stand in the opposition, despite the fact that everyone is climbing on what appears to be the winner's chariot. And after what happened, I am even more convinced that it is the right choice ”.
