Il National Union of Hunters commented with a new note on the work ofHigher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA). SNC recalled the establishment of another body, the National Institute of Biology Applied to Hunting, whose opinions promptly became milestones in hunting. The purpose of the release is not to criticize the ISPRA opinion on the Sicilian hunting calendar on the 2017-2018 season, but express a basic concept.
According to the Syndicate, in fact, the authoritativeness of the current opinions does not depend on that of the writer, but on the self-referencing of the Institute itself. The question that arises is one: who is the ISPRA official which draws up the final opinion? His titles, publications and experience on the subject are not known, without forgetting the personal bases to counteract the scientific sources offered every year by public wildlife offices and hunting associations.
The titles of this official are also important in understanding how it was possible to say that i Hunting areas are subjected to incidence assessments, which for the CNS is the demonstration of "Absolute legal ignorance". The suggestion is not to link the competence of the officials to the political appointment, but to the titles held.
